Our home church is Metropolitan Community Church Lubbock. Lisa found a safe place there already 35 years ago.
Wet Feet Ministry is encouraged and spiritually supported by the church and especially Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Tony Thieman-Somora.
In March 2016 Lisa was commissioned as Church Evangelist of MCC Lubbock.
Queer Grace is a curated encyclopedia of information and ideas around the life of LGBTQ people in the Christian faith. They hope to offer a safe space full of resources for all those navigating their journey in the church.
Founded in 2001, the Gay Christian Network is a nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to building bridges and offering support for those caught in the crossfire of one of today’s most divisive culture wars.
Patheos is a website that hosts conversations about faith. This website and its many sub pages and blogs are highly inclusive and eager to share opinions on faith from as many perspectives as possible. One of our articles was published there in April 2016.
MOSVIC MOVEMENT is based upon the idea that we are a broken people with broken stories, but if we could be honest and tell our stories then we could become a beautiful mosaic. This movement exists to empower and provide a platform for stories to be told and broken pieces to connect through vulnerability. We believe that our stories are meant to be shared where we are now even if they seem too broken.
The Anthem Network wants to train progressive Christian leadership and plant inclusive churches. Their mission is two-fold:
1. To train, equip and provide a spiritual covering for ministries of the inclusive gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. To plant inclusive Christian church congregations.
